Nylon (Ripstop), polyethylene terephthalate (Dacron), stainless steel eyelet, thread (12”x12”)

Nomad is a collaboration with designer Miriam Josi. Together we developed a portable flat-packed planter made from post consumer waste from sail makers in the Bronx, NY.

The form is developed from a single rectangle of sail cloth, folded into a double sided pot. The manufacturing process is minimal and efficient with no seams necessary.

Nomad is designed to be adaptable to small apartments with limited space for plants. The eyelet allows the user to hang the planter, it can also sit on a window sill or planting one side opens opportunities for vertical gardens in the home.
